Arsenal are not giving up in their attempts to sign Napoli full back Elseid Hysaj, according to the reports in Italy.

The 22 year old who is currently with Albania in the Euro 2016 competition is one of the most talented players in his country. Wenger is said to be very keen on the defender due to his ability to play on the left and right sides of the defense.

The Gunners have already indicated it’s interest in the defender but was knocked back my Napoli and now French publication Le10sport via claims the club has increased their bid from €15m to €19m.

However, Napoli are not prepared to entertain any bid for the defender with the club keen to keep their squad of last season as they prepare for Champions League football next term. The player on his own is not seeking for a move away from Naples with his agent ridiculing Arsenal’s interest in the defender last week.

‘I consider Arsenal to be on the same level as Napoli, certainly not better. Napoli have become one of the most important clubs in Europe,’ Giuffredi told Italian radio station Radio CRC.

‘He has to remain at Napoli for at least another year, as the Champions League enables you to become a complete player.
