Arsenal will welcome back to the Emirates in the summer former Arsenal Danish centre forward Nicklas Bendtner.
The ex-Arsenal star will return to his old club in the summer for the Emirates Cup with his new club VfL Wolfsburg, along with four other European outfits.
The former out-of-favour Arsenal man will return to the Emirates for the first time since his infamous exit last summer.
The German club make up a four-way tournament with Villarreal, Lyon and hosts Arsenal.
Bendtner will be looking to impress the Arsenal crowd; something which he has failed to do in his 10 years stint at the north London club.
‘We are delighted to be able to confirm three leading European club teams for this year’s Emirates Cup,” said Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis according to Arsenal.com.
‘Lyon, Villarreal and Wolfsburg have some fantastic players and will all contribute to an entertaining weekend of football for our supporters.’
Arsenal’s winter signing Gabriel Paulista, will also be keen on the chance to play against his old club Villarreal.
