Arsenal’s hope of signing Mario Gotze has been given a huge boost, after reports came out that the midfielder wants a move to the Emirates.
The German attacking midfielder who has been a long time target of the Gunners is believed to have fallen out with boss coach Pep Guardiola and is likely to be on his way out of the club.
The Metro believe that he is actively seeking a transfer from Bayern Munich.
Bayern already told him to make up his mind about his future quickly last week according to the Telegraph, and it seems he has done just that.
Arsenal are already well stocked with players in his position, but knowing Wenger’s record of buying players that may seem like luxury to the team but will later turn out to be important –taking Ozil as an example, he is likely to go after Gotze.
Gotze is a more goal minded attacking midfielder than Ozil, and can fill in all the positions behind the striker. He can also play as a center forward, and it won’t be surprising to see Wenger convert him to one.
