Arsenal are set to re-ignite their interest in Schalke’s Julian Draxler.

This report is according to the Daily Express, who claims that the Gunners are set to return for Draxler this summer with a £30 million bid.

Arsenal’s interest in Draxler have been well documented with the Gunners been linked with the Germany International since January 2013.

Arsenal have had several bids for the then teenager turned down, with Schalke desperate to keep him within their ranks.

This report of Arsenal’s latest interest in the midfielder is coming after Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies had at the start of the year said that the club would not be looking to sell the star anytime soon.

“We have absolutely no thoughts about him leaving on short notice.

“Schalke is the place where he can develop best and I told him that in person.

“My opinion is also, that Julian has developed greatly, especially regarding his personality.

“He had a setback with his injury and, as with every big player at a young age, he had a weaker period. But Julian will have a fantastic career.”

However, it is left to been if Wenger would go all the way to convince the club to sell Draxler this summer.

The 21-year-old has also been targeted by Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City in recent months.
