Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for top quality players ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal are winning the race to sign Genoa attacking midfielder Diego Perrotti.
The Gunners are reportedly keen on the 27 year old as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his side after injuries to Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Danny Welbeck and Francis Coquelin.
Genoa has placed an asking price of £9.8million on the attacking midfielder.
The midfielder has impressed in the Serie A this season and the Gunners boss is keen to bring the midfielder to The Emirates.
Perrotti is a versatile midfielder who can play anywhere behind the main striker, a position where Arsenal is short as a result of injuries.
Calciomercato reports that Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder is concrete and the Gunners could take advantage of Genoa’s poor financial status in order to sign the midfielder.
The paper also claims that Inter Milan are interested in the midfielder and could go head to head with the gunners to sign the midfielder.
Earlier in the season, reports claim the midfielder was under the Radar of Arsene Wenger last summer but the Frenchman failed to follow his interest up with a concrete offer.
Perrotti joined Genoa from Sevilla in 2014 and has since then scored four league goals in 27 appearances for the Italian outfit.
