Reports have it that Arsenal are lining up a surprise move for Manchester City’s Bosnian Striker Edin Dzeko according to the Metro.
The Gunners who have been linked to numerous forwards this summer in their search for a World class striker, have now turned their attentions to long time target Dzeko who is a proven goal scorer in the Premier League.
Arsenal had been tipped to sign Karim Benzema or Alexandre Lacazette, but with the former proving very difficult to land, and the latter clearly stating that he will not be leaving his current club this summer, Edin Dzeko now looks an easier option for the Gunners.
Dzeko arrived at the Etihad Stadium in a £25million deal from Wolfsburg in 2011, and has made 130 appearances scoring 50 goals for the Citizens but has fallen down the pecking order behind Sergio Aguero and Wilfred Bony; with City willing to cash in on him after he made just 11 starts in the League last season.
The 29-year-old who is also tracked by AS Roma has been told he can leave City for the right price, but he is believed to prefer to remain in England.
