Arsenal have joined the race to sign Fulham star Moussa Dembele, according to reports.
The striker’s contract is set to expire at Fulham in the next few weeks, a number of big clubs are chasing his signature and it appears the Gunners have now joined the race.
Chelsea were said to be front runners for the player’s signature having invited the player to a game at Stamford Bridge last season while Liverpool and Manchester United have also been linked with the 19 year old.
Fulham are desperately trying to sign the teenager to a new long term contract but it seems the player has gotten his head turned by interested clubs and is refusing to put pen on a new deal with Fulham.
According to ESPN via the Daily Star, Arsene Wenger’s search for a new striker has taken his attention to Dembele and the French man will now enter the race to sign the teenager.
Wenger is keen to strengthen his strike force this summer following the long term injury to Dani Welbeck. He has already activated Vardy’s £20m release clause and is waiting for the striker’s decision but some reports claim he would look to sign a young striker along with Vardy and Dembele could be the man.
Dembele scored 15 league goals for Fulham last season.
