Arsene Wenger is known for giving talented teenagers the chance to showcase their talents in the senior team. This is the reason any upcoming teenager wants to play at Arsenal.
This is evident in the way Wenger has raided the Academy of some clubs both in England and across Europe in the past years.
Arsenal are reported to have sent scouts to monitor the progress of Ademola Lookman, a player who plies his trade with Championship side Charlton Athletic in England as a striker.
Ademola, 18, has been a massive player for Charlton’s under 18s and 21s.
His display as a pacy attacker has earned him a call up to the first team of Charlton; His talent has drawn the attention some big clubs including Arsenal.
There is no doubt that Charlton will want to hold on to their teenage sensation, who still have two years under his professional contract.
The question now is how long can Charlton hold on to Ademola when big clubs like Arsenal come calling, when the transfer window opens in January. No matter what the clause in his contract is, Arsenal are capable of meeting the clause.
Few weeks from now, the transfer window would re-open then it will be seen if Charlton Athletic can keep hold of Ademola.
