Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has urged Arsene Wenger to sign Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
The City striker’s future was recently thrown into doubt and Wenger is believed to be monitoring his situation at the Etihad.
Aguero appears not to be having it smooth at Etihad after he was dropped from City’s clash against Barcelona.
Wright says he wants Guardiola to keep leaving the striker out of his starting xi so Arsenal will have a big chance of signing him.
“What I would like to happen is that Pep continues to mess around with Aguero and then Arsenal buy him,” he said on BT Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star.
“And then we just win the league off the back of that, simple as that.” “That’s what needs to happen.”
We can’t blame Wright for wishing we sign the Argentine and I don’t think there is any Gooner who will not want him at the Emirates, we need a top class striker and Aguero would be a perfect signing.
The Argentine is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the Premier League if not the best and he will definitely strengthen our squad.
Over the years, eventual winners of the league have always had that striker that can produce at least 20 goals for his team.
While we are hoping either Sanchez or Giroud steps up to that level this season, Aguero has proven to be that kind of striker over the years and i wouldn’t mind having him around.
