Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes the club’s win against Burnley on Sunday was the best way to celebrate Wenger’s 20 years anniversary at the club.

Wenger who joined the club in October 2016 was celebrating his milestone achievement and Cech believes securing all three points at the Turf Moor was the ideal way to pay respect to the manager.

“I think it’s the best way to mark this anniversary with a win,” the goalkeeper said .

“They were brilliant, Burnley ; it was a very tough match.

“It’s always good when you score in the last second, but I have to say that we probably deserved it because we put a huge pressure on them and kept on going.

“It was a very difficult away game and we answered it well with the way we played the game.

“We are obviously very pleased with the three points.”

Arsenal secured the three points with a last minute goal from captain of the day Laurent Koscielny. Although, it was a controversial goal but Wenger wouldn’t mind as it was the perfect way to mark his celebration.

The win took Arsenal to third place on the log table after seven league games, two points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Arsenal will now face Swansea City in its next Premier League game on October 15 and will be hoping to continue its impressive form.
