Petr Cech believes Wenger’s decision to allow Jack Wilshere leave on loan is a testament that our team is good enough to win the title.

Everyone at Arsenal desperately want the club to end it’s twelve year wait for a league title and there is a growing belief amongst fans that we are capable of winning the title this year.

Cech has now echoed those beliefs by suggesting we have one of the best squad in the league. The former Czech Republic international believes our decision to let a quality player like Wilshere leave on loan is a sign that we have enough quality to successfully win the title race.

‘He is a fantastic player and, in normal circumstances, you would keep him,’ Cech said, as quoted by The Metro.

‘But in order for him to get his fitness and confidence back — and to get some games under his belt — I think this is the best solution.

‘Yet even without Jack, you can see the manager still has plenty of options, that shows we are ready to fight for the title.

‘It feels like the balance is right and we look to be in good shape.

‘We’ve worked hard to make sure we’re ready to compete and, so far this season, we’ve been proving it on the pitch.’

Cech’s statement shows he is confident of our chances and I’m sure he is not the only member of the squad that think we can be successful. It’s a good thing to see this kind of confidence level within the squad as it will help us in the tough games as we challenge for the title.

We currently sit second on the log table with 23 points after ten games and taking a good look at our squad, one would notice the improved quality compared to last season. We finished second last year and hopefully with our better squad we will go a step further this year.
