According to UOL Esporte, Arsenal have had a bid rejected for Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura.
Rumours have re-emerged that Inter plan to swap Joao Mario with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lucas Moura.
Now according to Mediaset Premium presenter, Maurizio Pistocchi has given an update on the Lucas Moura situation at Paris Saint-Germain.
“It’s no mystery that Inter are looking for a player who can guarantee more goals than Mauro Icardi’s teammates were able to contribute last season,” Pistocchi told Interdipendenza.net.
“Lucas Moura is a player who can change the balance of a game, as he’s very strong in the one-on-one situations, for example, even if I think in France he hasn’t been used to his full potential. We also mustn’t forget that (Inter and Suning chief) Walter Sabatini really likes him.
“At the same time, PSG are seeking a player who is more of a midfielder than a forward. Joao Mario is very close to PSG, I repeat that there is a basic agreement between the clubs and they just need to work out the details.
“This friend of mine also told me that Lucas Moura is the prime target, but that’s not to say there couldn’t be others.
“If I had to bet €10, I’d put it on Joao Mario becoming a Paris Saint-Germain player very soon. He would be the ideal player to bring balance after the arrival of Neymar and it’s a role where he did very well at Euro 2016.”
The 24-year-old has been a regular for PSG since arriving in 2013, and despite putting up some decent numbers has yet to really establish himself as a key player.
Arsenal just so happen to be looking at wingers, with a firm interest in Monaco’s Thomas Lemar. Moura could be a good alternative, as report suggest Paris Saint-Germain could allow him leave for £27m.
