Arsenal are keeping close watch of Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to reports.
The midfielder who has been impressive for Thomas Tuchel’s men this summer have less than two years left in his contract and is reportedly undecided if he should remain at the Signal Iduna Park or not, according to the Guardian via Independent.
With Wenger prepared to allow Thomas Rosicky leave this summer, Mkhitaryan is seen as an ideal replacement for the Czech Veteran. Rosicky joined Arsenal from BVB in 2006 and Wenger is prepared to tempt Mkhitaryan to follow the same path.
However, Dortmund are not prepared to let their midfielder go without a fight and have offered the Armenia international a lucrative new deal, according to the Daily Star.
The midfielder is currently earning about £30,000 a week and the German club are prepared to give the midfielder a large pay rise in the new deal.
Should the winger decide against signing a new deal, BVB might be forced to sell the 27 year old this summer against their wishes having seen the midfielder score 20 goals in 43 appearances this summer.
Juventus are also monitoring the winger and will rival Arsenal for his signature should he declare his interest in quitting the Signal Iduna Park.
Arsenal have also been linked with another BVB player in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and will keep monitoring both players situation until the summer.
