Arsenal are “very close” to signing Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

Sancho is one of City’s most promising youngsters and has impressed in the club’s youth level since Joining them from Watford in 2015.

Arsenal, a club with special interest in talented youngsters like Sancho have been impressed by his potentials and are keen to lure him to the Emirates.

The 17 year old has been offered a three year professional contract worth £30,000 weekly but he is yet to sign it and is holding out for promises on first team football.

And as we all know, there is no better place for a youngster to get a chance of playing regularly than at Arsenal. In the past, Wenger has given several youngsters the chance to make the step up from academy football to first team football and the Sun claims Sancho is keen to follow that path.

The winger is now eyeing a move to Arsenal despite interest from Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City are also concerned about the prospect of losing one of their talented youngsters to Arsenal, with a source close to City telling the Sun:

‘The club is worried Arsenal are frontrunners for Jadon as he has a soft spot for them.’

‘His family think he might get a quicker path to first-team action at either Arsenal or Spurs.’

One wouldn’t blame Sancho for feeling this way, any youngster who watch City spend over £150m on players year after year will be concerned about his future.

Arsenal have built a reputation of nurturing youngsters over the years and Sancho may get his best shot of first team football at the Emirates. It won’t cost Arsenal much to sign him since he is yet to sign a professional contract with City.
