Ex Celtic man Charlie Nicholas has urged Arsenal to go all out to sign Alvaro Morata following Jamie Vardy’s snub.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of strikers this summer and Nicholas has suggested the club should make a move for Alvaro Morata.

Morata is currently with the Spain national team at the Euro 2016 and has impressed for the La Roja scoring three goals already.

Real Madrid recently activated his buy back clause bringing him back from Juventus and it is believed the Spanish giants could decide to sell him for a larger profit this summer.

Nicolas believes the Gunners should make a move for Morata, although he isn’t a top striker yet, he has the potential to be one in the next few years.

“I’m still believing though, especially with Alvaro Morata on a roll and full of confidence, as quoted by HITC Sports.”

“He’s somebody I’d like Arsenal to sign and, while I’m not sure he’s a top striker yet and still has a lot to learn, he’s got a great chance of adding to his tally of three with the players he’s got creating chances around him.”

Morata scored seven goals in 34 appearances for Juventus last season and could provide adequate competition for Olivier Giroud.
