Arsenal transfer news: Unai Emery aiming to secure two January signings

With the January transfer window wide open, the Gunners are seriously aiming to secure two transfer deals in order to strengthen their squad, according to The Mirror.

A loan deal for Christopher Nkunku is one that Arsenal are hoping to complete.

The Gunners coach, Unai Emery, having known Nkunu from Paris Saint Germain is very keen on signing the 21 year old who is one of the most highly rated players to graduate from the PSG academy recently.

He has scored two goals and provided one assist so far this season, but the French side believes letting him go will boost their finances.

Although the Gunners have confirmed that they won’t be able to make any permanent signing during this window, they are interested in a six months loan with the player and an option to buy at £20million according to reports. It is also believed that the youngster is eager to join Arsenal.

The second target on the Gunners list is Barcelona’s Denis Suarez. The 25 year old after holding talks with Arsenal manager is reportedly keen to move to the Emirates.

However his current side, Barcelona are looking to secure a permanent deal rather than a loan move for him as the player is unwilling to sign a new contract with the Catalans.

The Spaniard according to football-talk.co is determined to join Arsenal and is not willing to join any other club even at the risk of being frozen out of the squad for the rest of the season.
