Arsenal seem ready to go for the kill when the summer transfer window opens, with the Gooners making significant strides in pursuit of their target months before the window is officially open.
Pedro has reportedly handed in a transfer request at the Camp Nou as he continues to be disillusioned with life under Luis Enrique.
Arsene Wenger appears ready to take advantage of the 27 year old’s situation though Chelsea and Liverpool are believed to be interested.
It was earlier reported by popular Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net that the Gunners are set to land Pedro for £10.8million cut-price transfer.
Fresh reports say that Arsenal have now been offered an even better chance to sign the want-away Barcelona star for just £7million, according to the Telegraph.
Telegraph says Barca are actively trying to find him a new club, and have offered him to Arsenal for the bargain price of £7m.
Wenger had moved for the Spanish International last summer window but a deal was finally called off, shifting our attention to Alexis.
The Chilean’s influence in the team has been nothing short of staggering. He’s been virtually the one carrying the team all on his own and giving we can’t keep all our eggs in one basket, Wenger surely must be on the lookout for another player of similar energy to Alexis.
It cannot be said that Pedro has past his best days having been part of the Guardiola team who dominated club football during his time at Barcelona.
He still has a lot of football in him and his pace and finishing ability would still prove vital for us. Like Fabregas and Alexis, Pedro may be looking forward to a move to the Premier League for a new challenge to re-discover the joy of football, and what better place than at the Emirates.
