Arsenal vs Everton: Line-up: Crucial Change Made In Gunners Starting XI

Aaron Ramsey is set for a period on the sidelines after being forced off with a hamstring injury in the midweek victory over Bayern Munich.

With Ramsey absent, Wenger could be set to hand Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a starting berth on the right, though Theo Walcott could shift to a wide role, with Olivier Giroud drafted in to lead the line.

The Gunners boss is expected to name an unchanged defence with Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker paired together at centre-back, though Gabriel returned to the squad in midweek and offers an alternative after recovering from the illness which saw him miss out at Watford. Elsewhere in defence, Kieran Gibbs and Mathieu Debuchy offer alternatives to regular full-back pair Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin.

Meanwhile David Ospina remains sidelined with a shoulder problem. Mathieu Flamini has returned to full training and is available should Wenger rotate in the centre of the park, though Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshere remain on the sidelines through injury. Mikel Arteta misses out against his former club after picking up an ankle injury in training.
