Arsenal vs Everton: Player Ratings & Surprise MOTM.

It was all about the result especially as the team had looked to still be sobbing under the weather from the bashing taken on Wednesday. In the end, class proved the difference.

Ospina:  7.5 (MOTM)

Made the kind of saves that keep you in a game especially when you deserve to be behind. Still a suspect with his parries but good enough to keep his place for QPR. A welcome clean sheet.

Bellerin: 7

Much improved game from Monaco and showed great bustle going forward

Gabriel: 6

Not the most convincing League debut you would have seen but he still made a good show of his pace and precision with tackles that would justify his selection ahead of Mertesacker.

Koscielny: 6

Really struggled today, more like taking leaf from Mertesacker to sell himself into challenges unnecessarily.

Gibbs: 6

This was better from Gibbs but a significant lot has dropped from the left-back we have so touted to be the main Number 3 for England.

Coquelin: 7

This guy really has a blessing for making interceptions. Then, he can play through a battering, albeit from his teammate. Faultless game

Cazorla: 7

Provided good sparks of magic from his deep-sitting role. That cannot be his best position against teams with physical midfielders as he will often get barged off the ball.

Ozil: 7.5

If you don’t press or make a tackle all game but at the end, come up with two assists – the second a real brainchild of genius – you’d be happy with yourself, wouldn’t you? Great game from Mesut.

Oxlade-Chamberlain:  6

Welcome addition of precise wing play. He probably could have made better decisions with some of those crosses but the applause when substituted told the story of his value.

Alexis: 6

Needs a goal badly, couldn’t get it today.

Giroud: 7

Manages to do the more difficult things with ease. Good to have him back on the score sheet after a horrible midweek.

Rosicky: 6… Good reason why you should try a shot when in a decent position. Great game from the 34-year old.

Chambers:..  Not enough time to judge how much of a DM he could really be.
