Player Ratings

It wasn’t an awful performance per say, but the fact we got away with it shows some persons may have to take a bulk of the credit. Getting scared by Hull again isn’t something most Gooners would want to start acclimatizing to, but we could get used to having a few players to depend on when the going gets tough.

Szczenzny: 5

Didnt have much to do. Not at fault for both Hull goals.

Bellerin: 6

Made good use of his pace to help the attakc and make up for his not-so-good defensive positioning.

Mertesacker: 6

Poor reaction to the cross which led to the goal. Made appreciable effort in helping the team in the push for the equaliser.

Monreal: 7

Good recoveries, excellent cross for Alexis’ saved header. Played better than expected as make-shift center half

Gibbs: 6

Couldn’t do enough going forward. Inches away from nailing the winner.

Flamini: 4 (FotM)

I’m not having that he was pulled back by Diame. Poor.

Wilshere: 6

Could have done better with his final ball. Controlled game well, till he had to go off.

Cazorla: 6

Good curling shot to test Harper early on. Not much afterwards. Should have done better with Chamerlain’s cut back.

Alexis: 8 (MotM)

Goal. Assist. Point ->> Excellent. Brilliant. Man.

Oxlade-Chamberlain: 6

Was fairly comfortable with playing out on the left. Did well with a few cutbacks.

Welbeck: 6

Didn’t get serve too often but made count the one that most mattered.

Subs

Campbell: 6… Freshness helped stretch Hull.

Ramsey: 6… Good to see his physicality back helping the team.

Wenger: 6

Not much he could do really, he played his best cards.
