Arsenal face Liverpool on Monday night for their third Premier League game of the season.
The last time they met, Arsenal ran out 4-1 winners; but this time, the Gunners will be playing in front of their home fans for the first time since their 2-0 loss to West Ham. Between that time and now they have recorded a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace away.
Liverpool on the other hand are coming into the game after winning their first two games against Stoke and Bournemouth 1-0 each. But Arsenal would represent a tougher challenge, since they have taken all three points at Emirates only once since the Gunners moved into it.
Arsenal: Arsenal would be without the usual players, Danny Welbeck (knee), Jack Wilshire (Ankle), Rosicky (knee). But the entire squad that faced Crystal Palace is fit.
Liverpool: The Reds would likely be without their Captain Jordan Henderson through an Ankle injury, though some quarters say he might be put on pain killers to enable him play against Arsenal. Joe Allen is also out with a Hamstring issue, Flanagan is out till November. Sturridge is also out with a hip injury.
Both teams have met 199 times with Arsenal winning 72 times, Liverpool 76 times and 51 draws between them.
In the last 10 meetings between these two, Liverpool has won 2, drawing 3 and Arsenal winning 5.
