Latest News: Santi Cazorla is a doubt for the visit of Middlesbrough to the Emirates after suffering an Achilles injury against Ludogorets.

Arsene Wenger will also be without the suspended Granit Xhaka, so Mohamed Elneny may earn a rare start alongside Francis Coquelin at the base of midfield in Wenger’s usual 4-2-3-1 if Cazorla is ruled out.

Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez were both substituted during Wednesday night’s 6-0 win, so they should be starters against ‘Boro, while the in-form Mesut Ozil looks set to continue in the number ten role.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain impressed in midweek, but Alex Iwobi may return to the starting XI this weekend on the left-wing.

Nacho Monreal was another to be rested in the Champions League, so he is expected to return at left-back, starting alongside Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi and Hector Bellerin in defence.

Kieran Gibbs and Gabriel provide further options at the back. Petr Cech will return in goal for the Gunners.

Per Mertesacker, Carl Jenkinson and Danny Welbeck remain sidelined, while Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Olivier Giroud (foot) could return next week as Wenger continues to be patient with their recoveries.
