Arsenal vs West Ham: 5 Things Learnt From Victory Over Hammers.

  1. Only Arsenal can do that

Three goals of the most sublime quality, not even the current league leaders can claim to come up with such beautiful football. Wenger’s team has gained some praise lately for dogged defending and better big game management but it is good to know that the original Wengerball system of play has not been ultimately sacrificed. Hard to pick which was my favourite, but it’s easy to appreciate why the manager sometimes insists on playing this way.

  1. But Only When Giroud is involved

Not many have continued to pursue the argument of Giroud not being a world class striker. With the mix of all he brings into the Arsenal team, I do not imagine Wenger will have that as his priority next summer and he probably does not have to. This was a game that showed all about the slickness of his interplay, right from the 4th minute flick through to Walcott. Then came the ferocious drive to open the scoring but his involvements in the other goals were just as sumptuous as his goal. Ozil, Ramsey and Cazorla all have the ability to carve defences open with their genius but the big Frenchman, when up top, is really the gem that brings them all to agreement.

  1. Only Ramsey can stop himself

It was clear Arsenal has missed a midfielder of his qualities this season and that is a shame considering we are winding down towards the end already. We saw his energy at Old Trafford on Monday and it was as though he could take another 90 minutes today. He almost wanted to force Walcott into getting a goal but when he wouldn’t, his own chance wouldn’t be spurned. Hopefully, those muscular tears will let him be in the future because he really has it all.

  1. Walcott can Only blame himself

Here is the man whom we really know, as far as Arsenal greatness goes, has had the backing of all but something is not quite working out for Theo at the moment. Those two, three missed chances were signs of a player lacking in confidence, perhaps one unsure as to what the future holds for him at the Emirates. But he will have his chances, as every player does under Wenger, especially with the Ox to be out for a while and it will squarely be his fault if he does not justify himself.

  1. Only if this could happen at Monaco

It could, it just would take belief. Same score and that’s that.
