Football pundit Robbie Savage believes Arsenal might regret sending Jack Wilshere out on a season long loan.

Wilshere joined AFC Bournemouth until the end of the season on the last day of the transfer window.

It was actually one of the surprising deals on deadline day and Savage doesn’t think it was a wise move. Wilshere is highly rated in England and Savage suggests sending the midfielder out on loan could come back to haunt the club.

Arsenal have struggled with injuries in the last few seasons and the pundit believes should the club face such crisis this season they would fail to challenge for titles again.

Writing in his column for the Daily Mirror (via The Sport Review) Savage said: “I salute his [Wilshere’s] determination to play regularly and move to a club who were rattling collection tins to stay afloat only a few years ago.

“But I hope Arsenal do not look back in anger come March, when they will probably get knocked out of the Champions League in the knockout phase as usual, and regret sending Wilshere on a year-long sabbatical to the south coast because they are short of bodies.

However, we believe we are well stocked at the middle of the park with Carzola, Xhaka, Elneny, Ramsey and Coqeuelin all vying for a couple of places, Wenger has enough quality and quantity to see us through what promises to be an exciting season.
