The Sun claims Arsenal will be without midfielder Aaron Ramsey when we face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup and also when we play in Europa League clash against Ostersunds.

The Wales international has been plagued by a persistent groin injury in recent times but Ramsey has been doing everything to ensure he regains fitness in time for Arsenal’s game against City.

The Sun say Arsene Wenger has already decided Ramsey will not be risked against Guardiola’s men.

And it will represent a hammer blow to Arsenal’s hopes of winning the trophy.

The Gunners won the FA Cup in 2014 and 2017 courtesy of late goals from Ramsey.

Speaking at the weekend, Wenger provided a discouraging update on Ramsey’s fitness.

“It is a little bit sensitive case because we expected him to be a bit further in his development of the groin problem and he doesn’t move forward as quickly as we expected it,” he said.

“Today we would say that certainly he will not be available even for the next game against Ostersunds.

“Maybe for the cup final, we don’t know yet, it depends how he will progress from now.”
