Arsene Wenger wishes to wrap up a deal for Jack Wilshere in the next weeks.
The North Londoners star has just four months to run on his current contract. However, Wilshere is apparently no closer to putting pen to paper.
Italian giants Juventus are keeping tabs on his situation, while some Premier League teams would be interested in getting him on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
However, Wenger stays hopeful of convincing Wilshere to remain and says he wants a swift conclusion to the ongoing negotiations.
“That decision doesn’t depend only on me, But I want him to sign very quickly.
“He is still to make a decision and to find a pen somewhere; I am happy to give him one.” – claimed the Arsenal manager, when asked if he was any closer to securing a deal with Wilshere.
The Englishman has shaken off his injury woes this campaign, and encouragingly he’s missed just three matches since the turn of the year.
The player will be expecting to take the role in Arsenal’s League Cup final game with Man City on Sunday.
