It’s eleven years without a league title for Arsene Wenger and should he fail to lift the title later in May this year, it could be the beginning of the end of his time at Arsenal.
The Gunners have their best chance of winning the league this season as many traditional big teams are struggling to live up to their standard.
With the Gunners currently sitting third on the league table, two points behind league leaders Leicester City and also behind second placed Spurs on goal difference, it is believed that the Gunners have the best chance amongst the top three to win the league but long time Arsenal fan and BAFTA winning writer Nick Hornby has claimed that the Gunners won’t win the league this season and tipped Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City to go on and lift the title, via the BBC.
Hornby who wrote about his love affair with Arsenal in his award winning Novel “Fever Pitch” made the statement about the Gunners not winning the league when he was attending 2016 BAFTAs ceremony.
Arsene Wenger and his men will be hoping to disappoint Hornby by winning the league and giving the fans the opportunity to write “Champions 16″ on the back of their replica shirts next season.
