Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal look set to miss out on Charlton Athletic Striker Ademola Lookman, according to London24.
Charlton Athletic manager Karel Fraeye has ruled out the possibility of his club selling the 18 year old striker in January.
The 18 year old has played just 2 first team games for the Addicks and he scored his first professional goal last weekend against Brighton.
But the 18 year old has been linked with a move to the EPL with South London Press reporting last week that a lot of Premier league clubs including Arsenal are watching the striker.
When Praeye was asked about the striker’s future, he said:
“No. Ademola has only been in first team football for a few weeks.
“I am sure he will not be sold in January and be here for the long term.
“He is a smart boy, Charlton as a club has six or seven academy boys against Brighton, if he wants to play regular football we are the club for him.
“Ademola is on a two and a half year deal already.
“We are doing everything we need to do, we are responsible and we are very close to where we want to be.”
Lookman joined Charlton Athletic in 2014. The former Waterloo striker was immediately integrated in the club’s academy and has since then impressed at U21 and U18 level.
