Arsenal could miss out on the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Isco next summer according to reports.
The Gunners have been linked with a move to sign the Spanish playmaker since last summer and speculations were rife in the last January window that Wenger could make a move for the 23 year old.
Although a move didn’t materialize in the winter transfer window, it is believed that Wenger would return for the playmaker in the summer.
Arsenal’s attempt to sign the midfielder in the summer could be frustrated as Juventus have reportedly joined the race to sign the midfielder.
According to Italian publication Gazetta Dello Sport via the Express, Juventus will try to sign Isco should they sell Paul Pogba at the end of the season.
The Italian giants could get a huge amount from the sale of Pogba who is one of the most sought after midfielders in world football and the French midfielder is expected to cost about £77m.
According to the report, Juve are prepared to table an offer of £23m for Isco’s services but the offer is expected to be turned down as Marca believes a fee closer to £31m will be required to sign the midfielder.
The undoubted quality of Isco who has been described by current Spain boss Vincete Del Bosque as the future of Spain surely makes him an exceptional player and should Madrid be willing to sell, we could see more clubs joining the race to sign the midfielder. Isco has scored just 3 goals this season despite making over 30 appearances for both club and country this term.
