Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their bid to sign Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez in the summer.
This report is according to Fichajes per the Metro, who claim that the Gunners can now finally complete the transfer of Pedro from Barcelona, with the club willing to listen to offers for the striker in the summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to be a huge fan of the pacey 27-year-old, and would be hoping to lure him to the Emirates ahead of next season.
£22million has been touted as a fee that would convince Barca to sell Pedro, and Wenger is reportedly set to take advantage of the Spanish giants’ willingness to sell and could table a bid soon.
Pedro who was part of Spain’s World Cup winning side in 2010, has found game time hard to come by at Barcelona, as new boss Luis Enrique has placed him behind the likes of Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.
Arsenal could lure Pedro to the Emirates with the assurance of more first team action, as the striker has only managed 13 La Liga starts so far this season and is unhappy, as he aims for more game time next season ahead of Euro 2016 with Spain.
