Arsenal are set to make a fourth bid for Monaco star Thomas Lemar – but now face competition from a host of rivals.
Arsene Wenger has been chasing the France international, 21, for much of the summer.
Monaco have maintained they do not want to sell, having already lost Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy to Premier League clubs.
However, Arsenal remain hopeful they can get a deal done, despite seeing three bids for Lemar rejected already.
According to the Mirror, Monaco are holding out for £50m, which Wenger is ready to up is offer to.
But the French outfit are aware Barcelona can now outbid any competitors in the race for Lemar.
Following Neymar’s world-record switch to Paris Saint-Germain, Barca have a further £198m at their disposal.
And that could see the La Liga giants surpass Arsenal’s planned offer.
The Mirror add while Barcelona have entered the contest, Liverpool and Manchester City are both keen too.
Arsenal’s Premier League rivals are now involved in the battle to sign Lemar.
City have already snatched Silva and Mendy from Monaco, who knocked them out of the Champions League last term.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are still looking to strengthen further in attack, with Barca target Philippe Coutinho potentially in need of replacing.
Arsenal will now find it even more challenging to get Lemar to the Emirates with the competition for his signature and strong stance by Monaco.
But Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim did admit on Friday:
“It is not always possible to keep hold of your players.”
