Arsenal could miss out on Palmeiras satr Alan Guimaraes.
It’s believed Palmeiras want the 17-year-old to continue his progress at the club.
They fell he can fulfil his potential, however, needs to stay in his country a little while longer.
Guimaraes is also being chased by Real Madrid and was linked with Manchester United back in March.
The South American side have a solid track record nurturing top young talent.
Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus was drafted in last year for £27m.
Arsenal already have an array of impressive youngsters on their books.
Teenager Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to rescue Arsenal by scoring twice in a 2-1 extra-time victory over Norwich in the Carabao Cup fourth round earlier this week.
“He’s somebody that has came on and made a difference,” – Gunners legend Ian Wright said on Sky Sports show The Debate.
“We’ve had a few players, Alex Iwobi, for example, has come through recently and then fizzled out a little bit.
“He’s still amongst the first team, but you just want someone to come through and make this kind of impact.
“I know it’s against Norwich in the Carabao Cup but if he can continue to progress and get into the first team and the Premier League then obviously he’s someone to be excited about.”
