Arsenal face a battle to keep hold of youngster Jon Toral after his form on loan at Birmingham caught the eye of Premier League rivals, according to reports. The 20 years old has scored four goals in the Championship and Wenger is keen to brush off potential bids for the midfielder, who is contracted until 2017, reports Sport Witness via the print edition of sport.
Toral ‘s form has attracted several clubs and the Gunners may find it difficult to hold on to him despite them believing that he has a future in the first team at the Emirates. Wenger has several options in midfield, but the age and injury issues of some of his players have hampered his options and so losing Toral may be a blow to his future first team plans.
Jon Toral joined Arsenal at age 16 yet is now happy to be playing in the Championship after four knee operations almost ended his career. Four years ago; Jon Toral left Barcelona for Arsenal along with his close friend Hector Bellarin. Toral is now 20 years of age and his ‘’footballing brother ‘’ Bellarin is playing for the Gunners first team, Toral is still out on loan at the Championship trying to stay fit and hopefully get a shot at first team action at the Emirates. Toral joined Arsenal from Barcelona for just £300,000.
