Fenerbahce have revived their interest in David Ospina, according to reports in Turkey.
The Colombia international is expected to leave Arsenal this summer as he is desperate to play regularly next season and has been heavily linked with a move to Fenerbahce.
However, those reports died down in recent weeks over Arsenal’s £3.5m price tag, which the Turkish giants felt was too much.
It appears they want to try their luck once more and try to strike a deal with Arsenal.
According to The Daily Cannon, Fenerbahce have sent officials to travel to London for talks with Arsenal.
Although they have already lined up Malaga’s Carlos Kameni as an alternative target, they are keen to negotiate with Arsenal over its £3.5m valuation.
Ospina who has been impressive since he joined Arsenal in 2014 was linked with Nantes last week but the French club has reportedly pulled out of the race because of finance.
The goalkeeper’s contract expires in the summer of 2019 and Arsenal can still decide to keep him but his desire will likely prevail at the end of the day.
Anyway, there is no need to keep a player who wants out when we have a good option like Emi Martinez.
