Arsenal target Moussa Dembele will not be leaving until after Celtic have secured qualification to next season’s Champions League, Rodgers has revealed.
The French striker is a target of Arsenal and Wenger who is keen on strengthening the attack this summer has been keeping tabs on a him.
According to a report in The Daily Cannon, Celtic boss Bredan Rodgers has revealed Dembele will not be leaving Celtic Park until their Champions League spot is secured. With the end of the second leg tie set to be played on 19th of July.
“ Moussa is very content and happy. He is not a player we want to sell, but we know how football works and we’ll see what happens. But certainly not until after the Champions League qualifiers, there won’t be anything done before then. ”
Arsenal are not the only Premier League heavyweights keen on the striker, with Manchester City and Chelsea also believed to be interested in the 20 year old.
Dembele has been impressive since joining Celtic last summer and was the subject of an enquiry from Chelsea in the January transfer window. However, all interested parties will now have to wait a little longer before having any chance of signing the French man.
Although, Dembele appears not to be Wenger’s first choice, with the boss more keen on his compatriot Kylian Mbappe, he would also be a great signing for us if he happens to switch from Celtic Park to the Emirates.
