Arsenal are lining up a move for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, according to reports.
Dembele was in superb form for Celtic last season, scoring 32 goals in 48 appearances and that has apparently caught the attention of Arsene Wenger.
With Alexis Sanchez future in doubt, Arsenal are scouring the market for a new forward and the Express via the Daily Cannon claim the Gunners are now targeting Dembele as a replacement for the Chilean.
Celtic are open to selling the striker but only after their Champions League qualifiers and according to reports will demand a fee between £30m and £40m for their prized asset.
Wenger is a big admirer of Dembele and tried to sign him when he was at Fulham but the player felt moving to Scotland was best for his development.
He turned out to be the right decision and is now being linked with a move to Arsenal again.
Celtic are keen to get maximum value from the player’s sale and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be willing to spend big on a player he could have signed for nothing last year.
A move for Dembele is likely to take Arsenal’s spending past the £80m mark for the second consecutive summers, having spent around £100m last year.
