Arsenal have approached Inter Milan as regards signing Jeison Murillo this summer, according to reports.
Wenger is reportedly still keen on a centre back this summer and is looking at the possibility of signing Murillo.
According to Italian media outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport via RedLondon.net, Arsenal have made a verbal enquiry about the defender.
The report also added that the club has contacted the player’s representatives but the deal is in its preliminary stage as a fee is yet to be agreed upon.
Chelsea have also made move to sign the centre back and it is believed both clubs are prepared to go head to head for the services of the Colombian international.
It is unknown for how much Inter are prepared to sell the player who has about four years left in his contract but the report believes the player won’t cost less than £15m.
With Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker in their thirties already, Wenger is keen to sign a young quality centre back and Murillo appears to be high on the French man’s wish list.
