Arsenal have reportedly identified a replacement for Hector Bellerin should Barcelona manage to sign the Spanish international.
Barcelona are thought to be preparing a bid for Arsenal full back Hector Bellerin this summer. Although, the Gunners are reluctant to sell the 21 year old, they have already identified a possible replacement should they be forced to sell, according to Transfer Market Web via Footballfancast.
The report claims Arsenal would move to sign West Ham’s Sam Bryam if they sell Bellerin.
There are doubts over the credibility of this report; perhaps the West Ham star would serve as a replacement for unsettled Mathieu Debuchy as Wenger has reportedly told Barcelona there is no chance of him selling Bellerin.
Now a full time Spanish international, Bellerin has developed into one of the finest fullbacks in world football since breaking into the Gunners starting xi two years ago. His performances have been so good that he has attracted the interest of Barcelona and Manchester City but we expect Wenger to keep hold of the defender.
It is unknown how true the report linking Sam Bryam to Arsenal is but it is also unlikely the Hammers would sell the defender too.
Bryam joined the East London club in January and has made just four appearances for them. He hasn’t done anything impressive of note to have attracted Arsenal’s attention neither has he been so bad that West Ham are looking to ship him out.
Bryam is expected to play a major role for West Ham next season.
