Arsenal’s move to sign OGC Nice wing back Dalbert has suffered a setback with the club stating they will only allow him leave the side this summer if a club matches his €30m release clause.
An unnamed source high in the club told French Publication Nice-Matin that “we will not give in for less than 30m, the amount of his clause”
The amount is €5m more than the €25m that had previously been believed to be his release clause, and any club ready to buy him would have to stomp out that amount for the Brazilian.
The 23-year-old moved to Nice from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes for just £1.7m last summer, but has quickly increased in value with impressive displays at both left back and left wing back, making 38 appearances in total and contributing 4 assists.
However, such performances did not go unnoticed in Europe with Inter Milan, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid –who recently sold Theo Hernandez to Real Madrid, reportedly interested. Meaning Arsenal would have their work cut out in their attempt to sign him.
