Arsenal is reported to have joined the hunt for Newcastle’s creative hotshot, Ayoze Perez who is also targeted by Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs in view of sealing a January move.
The 22 year old Spanish attacker has been impressive since joining Newcastle from Tenerife in 2014, scoring a number of vital goals for the Magpies and has formed a ‘telepathic’ partnership with new striker Alexandre Mitrovic as current manager Steve McLaren calls it this season.
Ayoze can play as an attacking midfielder behind the striker in a number 10 role, and can also play as a striker, with the current injury crisis at Arsenal and no real backup for Ozil since Santi Cazorla was moved to central midfield, Ayoze Perez would represent a good backup for the German international, making a January move a huge possibility.
Arsenal will face stiff competition though, with Manchester United believed to have been the front runners to land him, before Arsenal emerged with their interest in him.
