Arsenal are interested in signing inform Bordeaux midfielder Henri Saivet, according to reports.
The 25 year old is in superb form and has impressed in Ligue 1 this season and Arsenal are among a plethora of clubs interested in signing the Senegalese midfielder.
The midfielder began his career playing as a striker but was withdrawn to the central midfield position and he has since then flourished in a deeper role.
The midfielder scored in Bordeaux 2 – 1 defeat in the hands of Liverpool and impressed for his side with his superb skills and vision.
Scouts from one quarter of the premier league were present at the match agaisnt Liverpool with Tottenham Hotspur, Swansea city, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Everton present.
The Mirror reports that Arsene Wenger’s side have joined the race for the midfielder who is valued for about £3.5million.
The midfielder is a regular fixture for Bordeaux missing just 1 league game for the French club this season. He has won 56% of his duels and have created 11 chances for his teammates.
Henri made his debut for Senegal in 2013, he played for the French U16 and U21 side before deciding to represent his country of birth. Saivet has made 5 appearances for the Taranga Lions.
