Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona youngster Alex Grimaldo, according to the Metro.
The Gunners have a good network in the Barcelona La Masia academy with the Gunners having poached Cesc Fabregas and Hector Belerin from the academy years ago and are set to return to the academy for the current Barcelona B captain Alex Grimaldo.
According to the Metro via Sport witness, Arsenal are serious about signing the Spanish Under 21 international and the defender could be set for a move to the Emirates in January.
Grimaldo, 20, is primarily a left back and he is known as a versatile left sided footballer as he can play further up the pitch as a left winger.
The left back has attracted interest from Benfica, FC Porto and Bayern Munich with his superb performances and Wenger is keen to beat his Rivals in the race to sign the 20 years old.
Despite his superb performances, the winger is yet to make a first team appearance for Barcelona and a move to Arsenal could appeal to him.
Arsene Wenger is known for giving first team opportunities to talented youngsters and a move to Arsenal could be a decent opportunity for Grimaldi to play first team football.
