Following the series of Injuries that has plagued Arsene Wenger’s side in recent times, Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for top quality players at the second phase of the season.
Arsenal are lining up a move for well scouted Stade de Reims right back Aissa Mandi in the January transfer window.
The Gunners who are looking to replace Mathieu Debuchy who is expected to leave in January to gain more first team soccer to improve his chance of a Euro 2016 berth with France national team, have turned their eyes to the Algerian.
Mandi who was born in france and started playing for Stade de Reims at the age of 8, made his first team debut in 2009 and has gone on to make 138 appearances, scoring 10 goals in the process.
The attack minded fullback who surprisingly can also play at center back would represent a like for like replacement for Debuchy who also possesses the same qualities.
Mandi brings experience too having been one of the revelations for Algeria (whom he chose to represent over France) at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and having 17 caps to his name so far.
Arsenal will now be looking to tempt Reims resolve on their prized defender.
