Arsenal take on German side Borrusia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion tonight in their first leg Champions League group stage tie.
And although both managers have injury troubles currently rocking their sides, here is my predicted Arsenal starting line-up for Dortmund clash…
Wojciech Szczesny will definitely be in goal for Arsenal.
Hector Bellerin: First choice right-back Mathieu Debuchy is out with an ankle problem and with Calum Chamber also a doubt, the young Spaniard is likely to get a chance in the starting line-up today.
Nacho Monreal: Although first choice left-back Kieran Gibbs has returned to the Arsenal set-up, but due to lack of match fitness and the sudden burst of confidence from Monreal it is likely that the Spaniard get another chance in the starting line-up today.
Per Mertesacker: The BFG is another sure bet for today’s game.
Laurent Koscielny: Koscielny will definitely start, pairing with Mertesacker at the heart of the defense.
Mikel Arteta: Mathiue Flamini has since come in for the injured Arsenal captain. And although the skipper came on as a substitute in the Gunners last match against Manchester City, it is likely that the Spaniard would start ahead of Flamini today.
Jack Wilshere: Wilshere is expected to once again feature for the Gunners today following a brilliant performance last weekend.
Aaron Ramsey: The Welshman is also another sure bet for today’s game.
Mesut Ozil: The German will be handed another start in the Arsenal starting line-up as Wenger seeks to get his star player back to his best.
Danny Welbeck: The English man had his first start to his Arsenal career over the weekend and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. He is likely to be handed another chance in today’s game.
Alexis Sanchez: Sanchez got on the scoresheet for the Gunners yet again last weekend and seems very much on his way to a very promising career at Arsenal. The Chilean is also likely to be handed another start for the Gunners in today’s game
It is expected that with this line-up the Gunners should comfortably cruise to a 2-1 victory (my guess).
