Valencia have jumped ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign Malaga starlet Pablo Fornas, according to Tribal Football.

Fornas is reportedly on Arsenal radar after he impressed club’s scout with his superb performances this season.

Arsenal scouts have watched the midfielder on several occasions this season and have given a good report to Wenger about the midfielder.

The talented midfielder has been a key player for his team this season, showing his quality in a number of different positions and Arsenal are now lining up a summer move for him.

His ability to play as a centre midfielder and an attacking midfielder makes him the perfect successor to Santi Cazorla who has struggled with injuries in recent seasons.

However, we’ll face stiff competition from Valencia in the race for his signature.

Super Deporte says the Spanish giants are leading the race to sign the midfielder.

Fornas’ contract expires in 2019 and he is currently valued at about €12m.

His fee wouldn’t be a problem for Arsenal but Valencia’s interest will make securing his services complicated.

However, I don’t think there should be any problem for us if we are seriously interested. The quality of training the midfielder will get at the Emirates is second to none and I’m sure be would consider that when making his decision.
