Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the
second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Chelsea have joined the race to sign Charlton Athletic striker Ademola Lookman, according to the Metro.
Lookman, 18, has been monitored by scouts from Arsenal and Tottenham on several occasions this season with Arsenal reportedly holding a concrete interest in the 18 year old.
And now the Sun via the Metro claims Chelsea are interested in signing the 18 year old striker and they are close to sealing a deal for the striker ahead of the January window.
Lookman has already scored three league goals in 5 appearances for the Championship side.
Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested in the striker and could join Chelsea in the race to sign the player when the transfer window opens in January.
The English footballer with Nigeria decent has an impressive goal scoring record for Charlton’s U18 and U21 teams which has seen him move through the Charlton academy ranks quickly and he made his first-team debut for the Addicks last month.
Ademola could now be set to join Chelsea’s talented youth rank, the Blues are known for scouting the best talents in the country and sending them out on loan to aid their development.
