Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.
Arsenal are reportedly keen on the Spanish international as Wenger finalizes his plans for the summer transfer window.
The names of world class strikers like Ibrahimovic, Aubameyang, Cavani and Higuain have been linked with a move to the Emirates but it is believed that Wenger has made Morata his top priority this summer as he tries to bolster his attacking options.
The Gunners have been linked with Morata since his days at Madrid and it is believed that this summer could be the summer that Wenger will finally get his man. However, the French tactician is set to be disappointed as he now has rivals for the 23 year old.
According to Italian publication Calcio Mercato via the Daily Star, Arsenal and Liverpool have already registered their interest in the striker and both clubs could be set for a shocker as incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has told the Blues to sign Morata.
Like Arsenal, the West London side are preparing to overhaul their attacking options as Conte is said to have doubts over Costa, Remy and Falcao’s future.
Juventus are also keen on keeping the striker in Turin beyond the current campaign but Morata is open to the idea of playing in the Premier League.
Morata has scored 25 goals in 88 appearances for Juventus since joining the club in 2014.
