Arsenal and AS Roma have officially began talks to extend Wojciech Szczesny loan at Roma by another year, according to the Daily Mail.
The goalkeeper switched the Emirates for Rome last summer on a season long loan deal and that move could be extended this summer should talks between the two clubs be successful.
The Poland international enjoyed a wonderful season in Rome and was impressive on the pitch making a total of 42 appearances in all competitions for the club and becoming a fan favorite in the process.
He has previously stated his desire to remain at the Italian capital city and also revealed he has told Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger about his decision to remain in Rome. Roma are willing to pay the Goalkeeper’s wages in full this time around and also want an option to purchase the player at the end of the loan deal included in the agreement.
Arsenal are keen to get a loan fee from Roma and would only agree a deal with the Serie A club if their demands are met.
Szczesny is currently with the Poland national team at the Euro 2016 and the goalkeeper is expected to turn up at the club he would be spending next season after the tournament.
