Club President Confirm Arsenal Interest In Midfield Sensation.

Arsenal will intensify plans this summer to fix the stuttering defense with reports that highly-rated defender Godfred Donsah has been watched regularly by scouts from the Emirates.

The 18-year old Ghanaian star plays for Cagliari in the Serie A and the club’s President, Thomas Giulini, has confirmed that a host of Premier League clubs have been following the youngster keenly.

“Manchester City are interested, but Arsenal scouts were at the game against Inter to watch him.” Guilini said according to the Daily Star.

“My intention is to keep him for at least one more year.

“Cagliari need to remain in Serie A so we can continue to help these young players grow.”

The eternal trouble of Arsene Wenger’s defense was on show midweek when Per Mertesacker and company yielded to a 3 – 1 defeat against Monaco at the Emirates, adding more to the list of infamous defeats that has been characterized with poor defensive shape over the years.

A lot of Arsenal fans have been left somewhat disillusioned as to the club’s plans to find a firm fix once and for all and though the options available for the remainder of this season are expected to suffice for the campaign, many believe that should be the major area of recruiting when the summer window opens.

As is great for football betting, Donsah is also highly rated as a good defensive midfielder who could break up play and win possession for his team, with a fair distribution range.

But then, would this relatively unknown youngster, who will probably still be raw fit into the caliber of player the Gunners actually are in need of? Going from being linked to Gundogan, Schneiderlin and Kondogbia – all relatively prove – to talk about another teenager, and that’s with Krystian Bielik still waiting for his first appearance for the first team with whom he has been training since arriving in January.

Reckon gooners will rather be busy with how Dejan Lovren’s cannon ball went back in time to smash a certain American pop star off stage.
