According to Standard Sport, Olivier Giroud is set to leave Arsenal, following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette.

The French striker has already been linked with Everton, Marseille and West Ham this summer despite Wenger publicly urging him to stay.

But it is believed he would consider leaving the Emirates in order to play regularly elsewhere.

Everton are believed to be leading the race to sign the 30 year old despite West Ham’s interest. The Toffees have already spent big this summer but Koeman is still willing to shell out £20m to get Giroud.

They are also prepared to make him one of thier highest paid players ever as they try to convince him to move to the blue side of Merseyside.

Giroud is apparently open to joining another Premier League club where he can play regularly and that will give Everton big hope of signing him.

Wenger is expected to resist all attempts to sign the striker as he wants a strong squad depth to be able to challenge for the league title next season.

Should Giroud become interested in leaving, the striker and his suitors will have to work hard to force Wenger’s hands because he signed a new deal earlier this year.

Giroud has scored 65 league goals in 152 games since joining Arsenal in 2012.
